May Flowers and Such

It’s May 6th.  The sparrows and black-capped chickadees melodiously alert one another of the whereabouts of edible scraps left on city streets while my potted pepper sprouts stretch towards the sun, kissing my front window.  There is the sweet, familiar smell of alcohol mixed with pheromones as inebriated 20-somethings move from bar to bar in the middle of a Saturday afternoon; the sunshine and cool breeze encouraging the young at heart to make lasting memories that will just as quickly be forgotten.  My gas bill is significantly cheaper this month than the last.  It’s spring so let us rejoice and be glad.

A quick update:  I’ll be recording the new LP this July down in Nashville, TN.  Am I psyched?  Uh, yea.  Before then, I have a bunch of great shows you do not want to miss…you can click on the links below to purchase tickets.  And all the while I will be working to improve whatever remains of the left side of my brain by digging into some statistics course work.  I’m doing this not just to better myself in the math department, but because I’m a glutton for punishment.  My facebook updates may soon go from “Hey, I have a show coming up…” to “Does anyone know what the f*** a binomial coefficient is?!”

This year has started off with a bang and here’s hoping it continues in the right direction.  Spring flowers are in full bloom and so is our hope for the rest of 2013.  We’re not even halfway through the year and there is still so much to look forward to!  I hope this post finds you well.  Carpe Diem.  Seize the fish.
